Public Hearing

DOFAW will hold a public hearing in Kalaheo Neighborhood Center, July 7 at 6pm to receive testimony on the proposed withdrawal of approximately 650 acres from Na Pali-Kona Forest Reserve, Waimea District, Kaua`i, for set aside into Hono O Na Pali Natural Area Reserve.
Deadline for written comment on this nomination is July 20. Send comments via e-mail to dlnr@hawaii.gov.

Hawaii Spatial Analysis Project is Complete

DOFAW is pleased to announce the completion of the Spatial Analysis Project (SAP) of the Forest Stewardship Program. The SAP provides managers, policy makers and the general public with a landscape-scale analysis of the suitability of lands in Hawai`i to meet the objectives of the Forest Stewardship Program.

The Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Strawberry Guava biocontrol was withdrawn due to an error. It will soon be resubmitted and open for a 30 day comment period at which time the EA will be posted on the DOFAW website.

Native Species Specialty License Plate
